Nestled in the picturesque Puerto de Mogán, Café Venecia is more than just a café; it’s a delightful sanctuary where the charm of Spanish hospitality meets the savory aromas of local cuisine. As you step inside, you are welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere, accentuated by friendly service that makes you feel like part of the family. This is not a place where you feel rushed; instead, it encourages you to savor each moment, much like the delicious meals they serve.

The menu is a testament to the rich culinary traditions of the region, offering a variety of tempting dishes. A standout performer is the Padrons Peppers. These small, vibrant green peppers are simply prepared to let their natural flavors shine, delivering a delightful taste of the Mediterranean with every bite. The substantial filled roll is perfect for those looking for a hearty option, while the local specialty of potato, cheese, and minced meat—which has a comforting lasagna-like appearance—offers an authentic taste of local gastronomy that’s simply unforgettable.

Café Venecia also pays homage to the sweet side of life, with an array of tasty desserts and ice cream that Jean-Luc Bulber raves about in his review, underlining that the café’s service is as friendly as it is unrushed. Imagine indulging in a creamy ice cream with the gentle sea breeze brushing against your skin, an experience that heightens the delightful tastes and makes for an idyllic afternoon.

Whether you’re here for a leisurely lunch or a sweet afternoon treat, Café Venecia is well worth stopping at if you find yourself wandering through this authentic part of Spain. The café encapsulates the spirit and flavors of the region, presenting not just food, but a memorable experience that leaves you both satisfied and eager to return.

We slightly randomly stopped at this cafe and having leafed through the menu stopped for a very nice lunch. Padrons Peppers (simple and tasty) a substantial filled roll and a local specialty (potato, cheese and minced meat) which looked a bit like lasagne (if you used potatoes instead of pasta). Well worth stopping if you are passing.
